There’s no magic on this page, but there is a simple prayer that, when spoken from the heart, will lead to beautiful things for those who have not yet made a commitment.
This prayer will spark a relationship with your Father in heaven, who loves you no strings attached. And it will guarantee you an eternity in his presence – something so wonderful that the human brain simply cannot conceive of its true brilliance.

If you believe that the Bible offers truth about the way to salvation, and you have not made the decision yet to become a Christian, this prayer is for you. Pray by yourself or with someone. Pray with your own words, or these. Pray on your knees, standing up, sitting down. Whisper it, scream it, sing it, think it. There’s no special formula. Read Romans 10:9-10 if you need some assurance.

But know this: if you pray these words from your heart to God, he will save you.

Dear Lord,

I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I sincerely turn from that life. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.

Congratulations! You just made the single most important decision of your life, and the angels in heaven are throwing a party about it! I encourage you to get connected with a good Bible-teaching church if you’re not already, and share your commitment with another Christian. In fact, I’d love to hear from you myself.
